“It is unbelievable, everything from the planning to post-operation has been faultless and I am virtually pain-free for the first time in years,” said Thomas Keegan, shortly after having a knee replacement done with Healthcare Abroad. Thomas had been suffering for almost four years after arthritis set in from injuries, he had from a car accident when he was younger. “I am in my mid-forties and was getting injections and medications that were not helping and the pain was getting unbearable. I was told I would have to wait at least another two years for an operation. It was after a particularly painful injection that my wife Pam, who is a community nurse, discovered Healthcare Abroad.”
“I was doing vacation coverage for a colleague when one of her patients told me about her successful operation with Healthcare Abroad. I thought I best investigate it before I get Thomas’ hopes up and once I did, we decided to go ahead,” explained Pam. “Within 3 days of calling everything was scheduled. Being self-employed I had to find the optimum time and Paul and Chris worked to make sure that happened,” added Thomas.
“Right along you can’t help but think there must be a flaw but there isn’t. From planning to the travel, hotel, and medical treatment you feel so looked after. We were even offered assistance in getting to the airport. When Santiago picked us up in Alicante asking us if we wanted to stop for tea or a bite to eat before we left the airport that was so kind. The care from Dr. Henkel, who set us at ease right away and the hospital staff was amazing.” Pam added, “It was so refreshing to deal with a medical system that was so efficient, and the hospital was spotless.”
“For the first time in years I am walking without pain. I can now look forward to returning to work and everyday things like walking the dog, a game of golf and of course holidays and dancing with Pam at the next family wedding.”
