Central services
Surgical unit
The surgical unit at Vithas Madrid La Milagrosa Hospital consists of 10 operating theatres:
- 7 for major inpatient surgery
- 1 ophthalmological theatre
- 1 for minor outpatient surgery
- 1 for endoscopies (gastroscopies and colonoscopies)
The surgical unit is complemented by a new Post-Anaesthesia Recovery Unit with 5 stations and a new surgical day centre with 4 beds.
Day hospital
Our constant desire for each patient admitted to feel at home is manifested in our day centre for cases in which hospital admission is not required but it is advisable to monitor the patient in an outpatient centre. The centre is a complement to follow-up for procedures that don’t require the patient to stay in hospital for more than 24 hours.
Intensive Care Unit
As a general hospital with the capacity to treat the most complex conditions, Vithas Madrid La Milagrosa Hospital has an Intensive Care Unit to treat critical patients who come to A&E, as well as surgical patients who require special follow-up.
Visiting hours
Lunchtime: 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Afternoon: 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
A maximum of two family members per patient can enter and no changes are allowed.
The ICU has 8 beds and is equipped with the latest patient monitoring and follow-up technology.
One of the beds is an isolation bed and two are equipped with monitoring and telemetry for cardiological patients who have undergone an interventional cardiology procedure in the haemodynamics room.
