HCB Hospitals has reinforced the Gynecology service in its hospital center in Dénia with the incorporation of Dr. Jorge Muñoz Cabrera. Degree in Medicine from the National University of Rosario, specialized in Tocogynecology from the National University of Cuyo, Mendoza and in Breast Diseases in Mendoza.

Dr. Jorge Muñoz developed academic, teaching and professional work in his native country before his move to Spain and has expanded his knowledge with rotations in the Oncological Gynecology and Breast Pathology Service of the Integral Center for Women’s Health, of the University of Campinas (San Pablo, Brazil); the Gynecology Service of the University and Clinic of Colonia (Germany); and the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona, among others. In addition, he has worked in public and private hospitals in the provinces of Cádiz and Málaga.

In his extensive career he has specialized in oncological gynecology, breast diseases, study of the sentinel ganglion, pelvic floor surgeries, surgical treatment of severe endometriosis (deep endometriosis grade III-IV) and genital rejuvenation surgery (Labioplasty, hymenoplasty, vulvoplasty, enlargement and reduction of the vagina, neovagina).

Highlighting and prioritizing minimally invasive surgery (only vaginal route, without scars on the abdomen, laparoscopic surgery, minilaparotomy and hysteroscopy) of medium and high complexity in benign pathologies (myoma, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, prolapse) as well as in gynecological and breast cancer (cancer of the breast, vulva, cervix, endometrium, ovary, tubes and study of the sentinel gang).

Likewise, Dr. Muñoz Cabrera stands out for his participation in scientific work, research projects related to uterus transplantation (research in large animals) and in a wide variety of national and international courses and congresses.
