Surgery and Recovery
“On Monday, I had all my tests done, met my consultant, Dr. Lukas Kleijn, and on Tuesday morning – just two days after leaving Ireland – I had my hip replacement using the anterior approach. Dr. Kleijn was so personal and professional, explaining everything in a relaxed way. He is so clear & confident as he explained the process which put me at ease.”
“The first couple of nights after surgery were challenging, but soon I was back in the hotel, getting physio twice daily. I’m still on two crutches but already looking forward to reducing to one and in time getting back to low-level hiking & cycling in a couple of months.”

I look forward to my costs being reimbursed by HSE Ireland in a few months time.”
